Our Fertility Services
We offer a wide range of fertility consultations, scans and assessments tailored to your stage in the fertility journey. All the scans are performed by the consultant.
Detailed consultation with Gynaecologist
Includes a full review of your medical history, a comprehensive physical examination, and a personalised treatment plan tailored to your symptoms, concerns, and future goals. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss test results (if available), and explore the most appropriate next steps for diagnosis or treatment.
Pelvic Ultrasound Scan
A non-invasive imaging procedure used to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, and endometrial lining. Particularly useful for diagnosing fibroids, ovarian cysts, and structural abnormalities that may affect fertility or cause pelvic discomfort. This scan provides a clear, real-time view of your reproductive organs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Follicular Tracking Scan
A targeted ultrasound is used to monitor the size and number of follicles throughout your menstrual cycle. It helps predict ovulation by tracking follicle development and the thickness of the endometrial lining. Ideal for timed intercourse, IVF, or IUI, this scan supports fertility planning with greater accuracy and confidence.
Ovulation Scans / Cycle monitoring scans
These ultrasound scans help identify when ovulation is likely to occur by tracking the development of follicles and the endometrial lining throughout your cycle. They provide valuable insight into egg growth and fertility timing, making them especially helpful for those trying to conceive naturally or through fertility treatment.
Endometrial Thickness and Ovarian Reserve Scan
This scan is used to assess the uterine lining (endometrial thickness) to determine fertility treatment readiness, and to evaluate ovarian reserve by measuring antral follicle count. It offers key insights into your reproductive health and helps guide next steps in fertility planning or treatment.
Fertility Health Assessment
A comprehensive ultrasound designed to explore menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, and post-miscarriage recovery. This assessment provides a clear view of your reproductive organs, helping to identify underlying issues and support your path toward improved fertility and overall gynaecological health.
Recurrent Miscarriage Treatment / Previous pregnancy losses
A supportive and thorough approach involving a comprehensive medical history, detailed assessment, and personalised management plan for those who have experienced recurrent miscarriages or previous pregnancy losses. This service aims to identify possible causes, offer emotional support, and guide you through tailored next steps to improve future pregnancy outcomes.
Hormone blood tests
A series of targeted blood tests, including LH, FSH, oestradiol, and progesterone, is used to evaluate ovulation, assess your hormonal balance, and help identify any underlying issues affecting fertility. These tests provide vital insight into your reproductive health and cycle regulation.
AMH( Anti Mullerian Hormone) test
The Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) test offers valuable insight into your ovarian reserve, indicating the remaining quantity of eggs in your ovaries. This simple blood test helps guide personalised decisions around fertility treatment, timing, and future family planning.
IVF Treatment
United Wellness provides end-to-end IVF care and support, from your first consultation and counselling through to stimulation, monitoring, egg collection, embryo transfer, ICSI fertilisation option and follow-up consultation/early pregnancy scan.

Fertility Scan London
A fertility scan is a specialised ultrasound that gives a detailed view of your reproductive health. See our full fertility scan in London page for what is included, pricing and booking.
HyCoSy Scan
The HyCoSy scan involves several steps. First, an initial ultrasound assesses the uterus and ovaries. Then, a sterile contrast solution is introduced to check for blockages or abnormalities in the fallopian tubes.
Follicle Tracking & AFC Scan
An IVF follicle tracking scan is a critical part of the in-vitro fertilisation process. Monitoring the growth and development of ovarian follicles and the readiness for embryo implantation.
Ovulation Confirmation Scans
At United Wellness, our Cycle Tracking and Ovulation Confirmation Package combines advanced ultrasound scans and blood tests to accurately confirm ovulation (egg release from the ovary) during your menstrual cycle with clarity.

Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS)
Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS) is a specialised ultrasound technique used to assess the uterine cavity for abnormalities.
Diagnostic and Specialist Fertility Investigations in London
Our Consultant care approach combines advanced gynaecological scanning with specialist advice on reproductive health. Male Fertility Semen Analysis London
Semen analysis is a key male fertility test used to assess sperm count, sperm motility and sperm morphology. It is an important part of a full fertility check and can help identify factors that may affect male fertility and conception.
At United Wellness, your private semen analysis is tailored to your goals and can be booked without a GP referral. Results are explained clearly, and you will receive a written semen analysis report to support your next steps, whether you are trying to conceive naturally or preparing for fertility treatment.
AMH Test London
(Ovarian Reserve Blood Test)
If you are trying to understand your fertility, planning to start a family later, considering egg freezing, or preparing for IVF, an AMH test can be a helpful first step. It is a simple blood test that measures anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) and gives an indication of your ovarian reserve, sometimes referred to as an ovarian reserve test or fertility blood test.
At United Wellness, AMH testing is consultant-led, so your result is not viewed in isolation. Dr Pragati Kakkar considers your age, cycle history, medical background and plans, then explains what your level may mean for you and what to do next. In most cases, AMH can be taken on any day of your cycle, and you can self-refer without a GP referral. You can book it as a standalone check or combine it with a fertility scan for a fuller picture.
AMH Test
At United Wellness, our consultant-led AMH test is a simple blood test that helps assess your ovarian reserve, with clear guidance on what your result may mean for you.
IVF and Fertility Treatment
If your results point towards treatment, Dr Pragati Kakkar leads your care as a GMC-registered Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF specialist. Consultations, ovarian stimulation and cycle monitoring take place at United Wellness, with egg collection and embryo transfer carried out at the specialist facilities of IVF London, so you keep the same consultant throughout.
Read about the full pathway, costs and what to expect on our IVF treatment in London page, or explore IUI, ICSI and egg freezing.
Fertility consultation
A fertility consultation is often the best first step if you are trying to conceive and want clear answers, preparing for IUI or IVF, or looking for a personalised plan rather than generic advice. During your appointment, we will take a careful history, review any investigations you have already had (such as scans, blood tests, or semen analysis), and create an individualised plan based on where you are now and what you are aiming for.
Counselling is built in, so you can talk through your concerns, expectations, and next steps with reassurance and clarity. We will discuss options, including natural conception support, IUI, or IVF, where appropriate, in a way that feels calm and manageable rather than overwhelming.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) (partner’s sperm only)
IUI can be a helpful option for some patients before moving to IVF, depending on their history and test results. At United Wellness, we support IUI using a partner’s sperm only, with cycle monitoring and stimulation led by Dr Pragati Kakkar.
If insemination needs to take place at our partner clinic, we will coordinate that part of the pathway and keep your plan clear. You will continue to have clinical guidance, results review, counselling, and follow-up with Dr Kakkar throughout.
IVF (own eggs only)
If IVF is recommended, Dr Pragati Kakkar leads a consultant-led pathway with stimulation and monitoring at United Wellness and egg collection and embryo transfer at IVF London. If you are unsure whether IVF is the right step, we will talk through your options based on your results, without pressure. Full details are on our IVF treatment London page.

Fertility Clinic FAQs
What should I expect at my first appointment at a fertility clinic in London?
From the moment you arrive, we focus on making your visit calm, private and reassuring. Your appointment usually begins with a consultation (around 20 to 30 minutes), where we listen to your medical history, talk through your cycle, symptoms and fertility goals, and explain what we recommend based on your situation.
If a scan is appropriate, we can then carry out a fertility ultrasound assessment. This may be transabdominal or transvaginal depending on what we need to assess and where you are in your cycle. We explain what we are seeing in real time, so you feel informed at every step.

Can I have fertility testing even if I’m not trying to conceive yet?
Absolutely. Fertility isn’t just about conception; it’s also about understanding your body. Many of our patients come to us to explore cycle health, manage conditions like PCOS, or simply learn more about their reproductive health. You don’t need to be planning a pregnancy to benefit from our assessments.
Can I bring my partner or a support person to my fertility appointment?
Yes. You are very welcome to bring your partner, a friend, or a support person. Fertility appointments can feel emotional, and many people find it reassuring to have someone with them to listen, ask questions, and feel supported.
What fertility treatments do you offer at your London clinic?
We offer consultant-led fertility assessment and diagnostics, including fertility ultrasound scans and relevant testing based on your history, symptoms and goals. The aim is to understand what may be affecting fertility and to give you a clear plan, rather than generic advice. If treatment is appropriate, we will explain the options that fit your situation, what they involve, and what the next step would look like. Where care involves a wider treatment pathway, we coordinate and guide you so you know exactly what is happening and why.
We offer a range of fertility-focused ultrasound scans, tailored to why you are attending and where you are in your cycle. This can include a baseline fertility scan, follicle tracking and AFC assessment, ovulation confirmation, pelvic assessment and, when clinically appropriate, a HyCoSy Scan .
When should I see a fertility specialist for infertility?
If you have been trying to conceive without success, or you have symptoms or a medical history that may affect fertility, it can help to speak to a fertility specialist sooner rather than later. Many people also seek an infertility assessment if they have irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis symptoms, recurrent pregnancy loss, or concerns about age-related fertility. At your appointment, we focus on identifying what may be contributing and what you can do next, with a clear, personalised plan and supportive guidance.
How much does a private fertility consultation cost in London?
Our pricing is transparent, and the cost depends on what you book. The easiest way to check the most up-to-date fees is via our booking options, or you can contact us and we will guide you to the right appointment.
